Desktop Operating Systems - 10/31/2005

Happy Halloween ya bunch’a pansy wuss-balls.  Woo Skynyrd!!!!

Today we did the first unit of Excel, covering simple things like navigation, formulas, and very simple cell formatting.  As I explained, we dropped the Snap! system for in-class stuff, but I HIGHLY recommend going through the tutorials at your own leisure.

Homework:
  • Procedures Check 1-15 (pg 27)

  • Skills Activities 1 & 2 (pg 28)

i have heard some of the comments that people have been saying and i think that they can go to hell because i think that you have helped me understand more then i did know. you are a good teacher and i like the way you teach. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Mariah

hey i also would like to say that people like to work ahead and leave before it is time. so if people need your help then they should stay and ask questions. but everyone should not be punished for working on SNAP. I feel that Snap is good as so is your teaching. You stess that we should do the snap program. If people dont like the way you teach they could always have Jeremy as a teacher and i can almost promise that he teaches just about the same way that you do. i also feel that we should go back to working on our own and if we get in a bind just ask you for help. not everyone can work at one pace. thanks for reading how i feel about the crap people are saying

Muahahaha. Looks like some tension here.
Maybe it's just me, but I see potential here....I'm talking boxing gloves, popcorn, and of course, beer--and lots of it.
If anyone else is thinking along these lines then let it be known! This could be lucrative.

Well... this is becoming quite adolescent. We are all here to learn, bottom line. What one says should not interfere with that. The focus needs to be redirected to our learning, not our opinions. Where I do express mine when I feel think something is wrong, in regards to learning. Not based on anything but that. I do also when I think things are good. So... Ben, I DO think you are a good teacher. Much better then snap. THAT is why I asked for you to go back to the lecturing in the first place. This week was a VERY good lecture, even though the quiz sucked, lol. Another thing that makes a good teacher, and person for that matter is an ability to hear people, to listen. That is commendable. Thank you very much.
