It's About Friggin' Time

... for some extra credit.

We're nearing the end of the quarter -- in fact, a few of you will have your last class this coming week as we will have grades revealed and you'll know whether or not you'll need to come for the last week to take the final. I'll have these results in a handy Excel spreadsheet for you to take home and put in the baby book.

Anyway, a number of you have had the opportunity to use Vista as your operating system and as you probably know, there are a lot of great new features with it. Obviously the new graphics engine is extremely cool and the install time is really fast (the installation I saw took about 15 minutes from start of formatting to use of OS. Very cool.)

Other features have yet to rear their (ugly?) head because they require the new version of Windows Server, which is slated for release this fall. Check out this article about some of these new features.

For ten points extra credit (which point-wise makes up for two missed class periods), write up a report about three of these features. Explain what the features do exactly and why they will be beneficial to us as users/admins.

If I have you for more than one class, I can divide up the 10 points any way you want. But, you have until the START (and by start, I mean when class starts, not when you get here) of whatever class you want the points applied to. This report should, at the very, very least, be a full page. I expect that they'll be longer though.
